Let’s Talk Area Rugs!

In Interior Design area rugs can define zones, bring personality, and add comfort. Selecting the appropriate size for your space can be a challenge. Here is guide to help you to select the right size for your space.

Living room
- The rug should be large enough for the furniture to fit entirely on the rug or at least the front legs.
- The rug should extend 8-10 inches beside the furniture.

Dining room
- The rug should be large enough that all chairs can fit when they are pulled out. Approx 24” beyond the table.

Bedroom
- The rug should be Large enough to fit the bed and side tables, and extends approx 20” at the foot of the bed.
- If opting for a smaller rug style, make sure it extends 20” at the foot of the bed. Nightstands do not have to be on the rug.
